Proper Care & Use
ALERT: ScarErase™ sheets are reusable follow the instructions to clean and reapply them.
ScarErase™ should be placed directly over your scar. Either side can be used. The ScarErase™ should overlap your scar on all sides. It is recommended to use hypoallergenic adhesive tape to attach the ScarErase™ strip securely on your skin. Since all of us are different, ask your pharmacist which hypoallergenic adhesive tape would best suit your skin. There are several choices.
For daily application it is recommended to wash your ScarErase™ strip with a mild soap and water, rinse then dry it before you reapply it. You should also wash and dry the scarred area before you reapply the ScarErase™ strip.
There are several other methods to hold your ScarErase™ in contact with your scar. You can use gripping substance (Tubi-grip), non allergenic garments, pharmaceutical silk gloves for hand scars like those created from carpal tunnel syndrome surgery, as well as other types of clothing.
Always have ScarErase™ in contact with your scar for the most effective results. Begin by wearing it 1-2 hours at first and then begin to increase usage by 1 hour each day. Eventually you should be able to wear ScarErase™ for up to 24 hours a day.
